Cyanotype created from a photograph of the Arènes de Nîmes (an ancient Roman amphitheater in France)

Description

The cyanotype is one of the oldest monochrome photographic processes that allows for the printing of the imprint left by an object, a plant, or a photographic negative onto a surface. It relies on the photosensitivity of a mixture of iron salts that acquires a Prussian blue color when exposed to UV light.
